Aditya Rawal

Born in Mumbai, Aditya initially pursued competitive football before redirecting his focus to the performing arts. He expanded his training abroad, studying devised theater at the London International School of Performing Arts and earning an MFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. His early creative success came from the theater circuit, where his 2016 play The Queen secured the Best Original Script honor at the New York Innovative Theatre Awards. He transitioned to mainstream cinema with his starring role in the romantic action feature Bamfaad (2020) and later won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut for his work in the thriller Faraaz (2022).

Growing up in Mumbai under the influence of his actor parents, Paresh Rawal and Swaroop Sampat, Aditya originally dedicated himself to sports as a competitive football player. After completing his schooling at Jamnabai Narsee School and attending H.R. College, he pivoted toward a career in storytelling. To refine his craft, he relocated to London to study physical and devised theatre, and later moved to New York, where he completed a Master of Fine Arts in Dramatic Writing at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts.

Before finding his footing as a screen actor, Aditya earned respect as a writer. His theatrical production The Queen earned him the Best Original Script accolade at the 2016 New York Innovative Theatre Awards. His literary portfolio includes writing the stage play Siachen, co-writing the historical film drama Panipat (2019), and collaborating on the script for Dear Father (2022). Beyond mature dramas, he has also co-authored children's literature and directed an independent documentary.

Aditya's earliest exposure to film sets included a brief appearance as a child artist in Ferrari Ki Sawaari (2012). His official arrival as a leading man came with the digital release of Bamfaad in 2020. His breakthrough performance occurred in Hansal Mehta’s Faraaz (2022), a gripping role that won him the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. Since then, he has expanded his resume into major streaming series, taking on prominent roles in Aar Ya Paar (2022), Bambai Meri Jaan (2023), and the crime drama Daldal (2026).
