The narrative centres on Kusum Abhyankar, a dedicated Marathi professor living a quiet life in Vasai with her businessman husband, Sharad. When their reliable family physician, Dr Malik, fails to find a cure, Sharad calls upon his acquaintance Ashok—a brilliant research scholar and palmist—to examine her condition from an unconventional perspective. The plot takes a terrifying turn when Ashok reads Kusum's hand and realises her illness is entirely non-medical, discovering a hidden, vengeful alter ego named Savita fighting to possess Kusum's body.
