Written by Eve Ensler, The Vagina Monologues is an episodic play built around a series of stories drawn from women's experiences. The Poor Box Productions staging, directed by Mahabanoo Mody-Kotwal and Kaizaad Kotwal, has become one of India's longest running theatrical productions. The play first came to India in 2003 and has continued to find audiences across generations, precisely because many of the questions it raises remain as relevant today as they were when the production began.
