Infinity Mirrored Room

Immerse yourself in a universe of limitless imagination as the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in Mumbai proudly debuts Yayoi Kusama's landmark "Infinity Mirrored Room" in India. Specifically featuring the 2020 masterwork titled 'The Eternally Infinite Light of the Universe Illuminating the Quest for Truth', this room-sized installation highlights the visionary talent of Japan's pioneer of contemporary art. Running through January 10, 2027, the display represents a rare opportunity to view one of the largest installations within Kusama's world-renowned Infinity Mirror Rooms series, which originally began in 1965. 

Inside the mirror-panelled room, hundreds of delicate LED lights dangle at varying heights from the ceiling, flickering on and off in a beautifully synchronized, rhythmic dance. This ever-changing play of light reflects endlessly off the mirrored surfaces, dissolving any sense of a fixed perspective and trapping the viewer's own image within a cascading, ethereal matrix where nothing is quite as it seems. 

Available in accessible 5-minute time slots for an entry fee of ₹100, this premium attraction is a crown jewel of NMACC's permanent art collection. To round out the ultimate contemporary art experience, visitors can also wander through the venue's concourses to admire Clouds—Kusama's public installation featuring 90 organically shaped, stainless-steel cloud structures—alongside nine other unique art installations scattered across the cultural center.
